How we started.
Ramon started Canberra Carpentry & Roofing in 2003. The shape of the business followed what Canberra homes actually need: not just deck builders, not just roofers, but a single Licenced and Insured trade that could quote the deck, the roof, the door, the gate, and the pergola repair on a single visit.
Twenty-three years later, that’s still what we do.
What we’ve learned.
Most Canberra homes have three or four jobs that need doing at any given time. The gate that’s started to drag. Two rotten deck boards. A pergola roof that’s been flapping since the last storm. Most trades will only quote one of those things and leave the rest for someone else.
We do the lot. It’s why our clients call us back five and ten years after the first job — the deck we built in 2014, the re-roof in 2019, the bathroom carpentry last winter.
What we stand by.
We’re Licenced and Insured with $20M public liability, a five-year workmanship warranty on carpentry, and a ten-year warranty on roofing installations. Every quote comes in writing with line items. Every variation is signed off in writing before the work continues. Every job is walked by Ramon himself before it’s priced.
If a tradesperson can’t put it in writing, you shouldn’t pay a deposit.
