Ramon O'McCloskey started Canberra Carpentry & Roofing in 2003. We handle structural carpentry, decks, pergolas, roofing and renovation carpentry. We work across Canberra, with a focus on the inner south.

How we started

Ramon started the business in 2003. Today we quote structural repairs, decks, pergolas, roofing and renovation carpentry. If a project involves more than one of those services, we can assess the full scope in one visit.

What we take on

Our carpentry repair work focuses on structural timber, including damaged framing and deck substructures. We also build decks and pergolas, repair or replace roofs, and carry out joinery inside renovations.

We no longer take on single board swaps, door adjustments or other handyman jobs. If the work falls outside our scope, we'll say so before booking a visit.

Quotes and warranties

Ramon visits each site before quoting. You receive a written quote with each item listed. We ask for written approval before carrying out work that changes the agreed scope.

We carry $20M public liability insurance. Carpentry has a five-year workmanship warranty, and roofing installations have a ten-year workmanship warranty.

We list the work and materials in the quote, so you know what the price covers.

Principle 02

Ramon visits before quoting.

Structural damage needs an on-site assessment. Ramon checks the property before giving you a fixed quote.

Principle 03

Changes need your approval.

If we uncover extra work, we photograph it and send you a written variation before proceeding.
